Lawrence Wong obtained tower I in 1989 and the 2nd tower a year later in 1990. In 1997, the main tenant of tower I was Houston Cellular so it was named after the company. The operator of the theatre for many years is H'Town Arena until 2004 before the entire Arena Place complex was sold to Arena Group and its partners for approximately .5 million.

Boxer Property acquired the 50 percent of limited partners in 2006. And since then, a lot of renovations have been undergone that reached approximately million in total. By 2007, all the tenants were professional groups including radio and television stations, medical users, and law firms. The same year, several floors at the complex were occupied by Westwood College. And then, the Arena Theater was opened again in November 2007.

And the new tenant of the theater was Arena Theatre Inc. And the renovations that were added to the theater touched seating, sound and video systems, carpeting, lighting, and toilet facilities. Also, the tower penthouse was scheduled to host events. A lot of events are hosted in the theater over the year, and fans find it amazing experience to attend.
